COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM FOR SENIORS
The Community Ambassador Program for Seniors, through its volunteer community ambassadors, will build capacity to serve seniors in their own communities, in their own language, within their own cultural norms, and will do so where seniors live, worship, socialize, and learn. The Ambassadors serve as a bridge between the formal network of social services and faith based and cultural communities. |
Community Ambassadors are volunteers who have been trained to provide information and referral services to seniors and their families.
They have learned about local resources and services in the Tri-City Area such as:
* Transportation * Housing * Health Needs * Social Security * Financial Aid * Legal Aid * Immigration * Social Needs
* Benefits – Medicare, Medi-Cal, Cash Assistance Program for Seniors
